Jennie Cotterill is an artist and musician based in Southern California.  After leaving the midwest in 2001, she received a BFA and MFA in Illustration from California State University, Long Beach.   Focusing on themes of personal identity and misinterpreted scientific theory, her work is influenced by swap meets, medical models, cartoons, and religious iconography.

Jennie has developed a vastly diverse professional artistic resume and continues to seek out unfamiliar territory.  She has worked in television, apparel, animation, community outreach and education.

In addition to making art, Jennie sings and plays guitar in Bad Cop/Bad Cop and Library Sciences -a collaborative audio zine with Sara M. Lyons.
